2. 빌베니 증류소 간단 소개 (whiskey searcher app.)

The Balvenie is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside region of northern Scotland. It is one of three distilleries on William Grant's Dufftown site, along with Glenfiddich (the first established) and Kininvie (the most recent).
The distillery was founded in 1892, next door to Glenfiddich, partly to meet the demands of a customer inherited from Glenlivet (which had been damaged by fire), and partly to prevent the establishment of a rival distillery on the land, which would then share the precious water supply.
For much of its history it has mainly served as a source for Grant's blended whiskies, but more recently production has focused on meeting demand for the single malt, with just a small percentage going into the Monkey Shoulder blend.
The Balvenie portfolio
The distillery is known for its wide range of expressions finished in a variety of wood types including Port, rum and Madeira oak. The duo of Doublewood whiskies are finished in Sherry oak, while the newer Triple Cask releases feature traditional used Bourbon casks, then first-fill Bourbon casks and finally Oloroso Sherry casks.
The core range extends to around a dozen whiskies and there are numerous other editions aimed at specific markets or released in limited editions.
Production characteristics
The three distilleries on the Dufftown site use the same water and malt and have very similar production methods, but produce three very identifiable malts. The fat, short-necked stills of Balvenie produce a hallmark nutty, malty new-make spirit with fruity hints that open out in time and are not hidden by oak characters. This character is well suited to a wide range of oak treatments.
Balvenie is one of only around six distilleries in Scotland with its own malting floor, though this only supplies a fraction of the required malt.



3. 테이스팅 노트

노즈에서는 밝과 화사한 플로랄하고 가벼운 쉐리의 향이 훅 들어온다
확실히 발베니 12 더블우드나, 15 마데이라 대비 쉐리함이 강하고 쉐리의 맛 위에 꽃향을 입고 있는 느낌이디.

팔레트는 발베니 답게 꿀향이 베이스로 깔리고, 포도의 항이 올라오면서 스파이시가 뒤를 띠라온다

피니쉬는 복숭아향과 약간 매운 통후추, 떫어지기 전의 오크향이 있고, 피니쉬는 짧다.

색은 색소가 있음을 감안하더라도, 레그가 적당히 꾸덕하게 떨어진다.
